There wasn't a Kuppa Joy in Madera. That was the whole reason to build one. So we put up the hut, staffed it, and opened; and somewhere along the way this town made it the home of the Iced Hallelujah. Madera drinks more of them than any shop we own. We've stopped questioning it. We also put the mission on the window, where you can read it from the driver's seat. A woman from Oregon pulled up, spotted LOVE GOD. LOVE PEOPLE., and said seeing it on a coffee kiosk made her day.

You'll know what we're about before you've ordered a thing. Then it's on us to prove it; same beans as every other shop, same people who'd rather know your name than move you along. We put it where you'd see it because we'd rather be held to it. Loving God and loving people isn't what we do after we sell you coffee. It's why there's a building here at all.
