What’s next for Kuppa Cares? We hope 2023 will be year of growth for us! We are passionate about our weekly outreach, and we want to take it to the next level. When we think of basic needs and what makes someone feel valuable or dignified, the simplest answer? Cleanliness. We want to meet basic needs of showers and clean clothes with an opportunity to hear someone’s story and share the gospel!
Refresher Van
The Vision: Give worth to and instill dignity into individuals currently experiencing homelessness.
The Implementation: We will have a van fully equipped with a sink, shower, dressing room, and a coffee brewer. During outreach hours, we will look for those in our city who may be experiencing homelessness. The heart is to brew them a cup of coffee and use this vessel to get to know their name and their story. We will then offer them a hot shower followed by a visit to the dressing room equipped with new clothes from head to toe. Our new friends will walk out feeling like a million. We will hand them a bible and share the good news of the gospel. Let God do the rest.
UPDATE: We are so excited to have the Kuppa Cares logo rolling through the streets of Fresno/Clovis! Unfortunately, due to a fire at the facility who was going to renovate the van, we had to put a hold on this dream. We’re currently using the van for our weekly outreach, and hope to revisit the refresher van dream in the future!
